The Erie Canal

We went on a field trip on the Erie Canal. Saw lots of ducks there. The captain of the boat told us many things about the Erie Canal. It was built about 200 years ago. the 1800's.
When we went into the lock the water came out and lifted the boat up. The doors opened on the opposite side and we went through. My mom keeps singing '15 miles on the Erie canal' song and it is driving me nuts! The water coming in looks really cool!

My Feather Collection

Ive been collecting these for 2 years. I keep them in my nature folder. I got them from the front yard and back yard and sometimes not even at home. My favorite one is the one with the blue and black stripes. Its actually a Blue Jay feather.
The ball of feathers is a clump of baby feathers that I found at my doorstep.
I just really like feathers and I don't know why.

A Storming Idea

I got the idea when I was sleeping and I had a dream about a tornado. When I woke up I thought "Why not make it out of Legos". The first time I tried making the tornado, I didn't do so well.
Then I thought of making a pyramid and turning it upside down. That's how I made the Tornado. I'm going to blog about Feathers next.

My First Creation

This is a Lego Pirate Ship. I made it because I thought it would be a cool thing to make. And I really like pirate ships. The thing I like best about it is ....I can't decide. I like it all! It took me like 2 hours to build. I took all the pictures myself. The island I thought would be a really cool attachment! My next post will be about a Lego tornado.
