Ive been collecting these for 2 years. I keep them in my nature folder. I got them from the front yard and back yard and sometimes not even at home. My favorite one is the one with the blue and black stripes. Its actually a Blue Jay feather.
The ball of feathers is a clump of baby feathers that I found at my doorstep. I just really like feathers and I don't know why.
I like them too William! 2 years is a long time to be collecting something. How many feathers would you say you have all together? After you collect them, do you match them up with specific birds? That would be cool! Love,

I counted 25. I tried to match them up in 'The Field guide of North America- Birds" book, but all I could match up for sure was the Blue Jay. Maybe mom and I can match them up later, in the summer.-Will
